Mool Sutra : | Nissallasseva puno, mahavvadaim havamti savvam. Vadamuvahammadi tihim du, nidanmicchattamayahim. | ||
Sutra Meaning : | A monk, who is free from the thorns of character (salya) really observes (five) great vows; the vows become ineffective due to three thorns of character, i. e., desire for worldly return for one’s good acts, wrong faith and deceit. | ||
